Charity Race Night hosted by Ormskirk Ladies NFU Social Section @ Stanley Institute, Burscough, 1st March at 7.30pm

We are looking forward to supporting this wonderful group who have nominated us as their Charity of the Year and so far have fundraised a huge amount of money to bring more defibs to the area.  So far they have raised nearly £1k part way through their calendar year of events.  We are extremely grateful for their efforts and would like to promote their next fundraiser a Charity Race Night on our behalf which is at Burscough Stanley Institute (housing one of our cPads) on 1st March 2014. We are sponsoring the Lancashire Defibrillator Campaign ‘dash4cash’ Race as part of proceedings.  To find out about tickets contact lancsdefibs@justshocking.org.uk.

Great North Run – September 7th, 2014

The Bupa Great North Run is the premier event in the Great Run series and firmly established as Britain’s biggest participation event.  Paul Blane has decided to beat his fantastic time from last year, apparently dressed in a tutu!

First held in May 2003, the run was created as a legacy event following the 2002 Commonwealth Games. The Bupa Great North Run has since grown into a weekend festival of sport, including mini and junior events and the Great CityGames http://www.greatcitygames.org/ – a unique elite event that consistently brings together some of the world’s top sprinters on a purpose built track in the heart of the city centre.
